We have obtained ISO 45001:2018 certification, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. The certificate was issued by Bureau Veritas with ACCREDIA accreditation and joins our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. We are very proud of this achievement because it is first and foremost about the people who work every day at our plant in Bedizzole.

What is ISO 45001 certification

ISO 45001 is the standard that defines the requirements of an occupational health and safety management system. It certifies the method a company uses to manage safety, and its goal is to proactively improve accident prevention and protect the health of the people who work there, including workers who are not permanently employed, such as external collaborators and subcontractors.

Why safety matters in a recycling plant

At Bedizzole we process post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste. It is work made of people, machines and consecutive steps, and each one requires clear procedures and ongoing training.

ISO 45001 gives these procedures an internationally recognized structure. It asks us to think in terms of prevention rather than emergency, to identify risks before they become accidents, and to keep improving the system over time. Among the benefits the standard points to are fewer injuries, fewer work stoppages, fewer absences and greater motivation among people.

A certification path that comes full circle

With ISO 45001 we bring together every aspect of our work. ISO 9001 covers quality, ISO 14001 the environment, and ISO 45001 the safety of our people. The three standards share a common framework, so we can manage material quality, respect for the environment and safety with the same method, without treating them as separate worlds.

On top of these come the certifications that concern our process and products. Our compounds are RecyClass and Plastica Seconda Vita certified, ensuring quality and traceability along the supply chain. ISO 45001 tells a different side of the story: how we do it.

When you choose a supplier of recycled compounds, the material matters, but so do the processes that produce it. A safety management system verified by an accredited body is one more indication of how we work, with controlled processes and protected people.
